Involvement

Delta Tau Delta at Auburn University is founded on a cornerstone of campus and community involvement. Our brotherhood is one of the most active locally and amongst all Delt chapters. We believe that giving back to our community is essential to maintain further growth and progress. All brothers are required to complete monthly community service, most choosing to participate in our Adopt-a-School program with Dean Road Elementary. Over half of our active brothers donate their time weekly to helping out the youth of our neighborhoods.

In 2008, Delta Tau Delta at Auburn University completed over 4,000 hours of community service and donated over $5,000 to charity. Delts also pride themselves as campus leaders. Our brotherhood is extremely active in various organizations, clubs, sports, and other extra-curricular activities. Every brother is active in an on-campus organization or holds a job while in school.

Our brothers can be found on Student Government (SGA), Mortar Board, SAA, Lobby Board, Encounter, and WEGL to name a few. In the fraternity system, we have brothers in all three components of the Inter-fraternity Council, including IFC Court & IFC Cabinet. We also have brothers serving their country, with actives in AFROTC, Naval ROTC, and Army ROTC.

Politically, we have brothers in all three major campus parties, including College Republicans, College Democrats, and College Libertarians. Also, understanding our primary objective while in school is academic success, many of our brothers have been invited to join honorary societies, including Phi Eta Sigma, Order of Omega, Honors Congress, Phi Kappa Phi, and Alpha Lambda Delta. Lastly, we have brothers on various sports teams, including lacrosse, rugby, Auburn Flyers (Cycling), and Auburn Baseball.

The Auburn spirit is something than cannot be matched by any other institution. Our brothers take pride in our school and community. In 2008, we placed 1st in the Greek Week Competition, 1st in the Auburn vs. Tennessee Float Competition, and 1st in Auburn Sports Marketing Greek Tailgate Competition. Delts actively participate in every sorority philanthropy event year round, including placing 2nd in ZTA’s Breast Cancer Awareness Week and Delta Gamma’s Anchor Splash.
